Dune Detectives at Taperoo

Taperoo Dunes
Saturday 4th June, 10am - 11am
How would you like to become a Dune Detective? Taperoo Dunes Forensic Field Officers Rae and Kym have put together some training hints to help you hone your sleuthing skills. Bring your family to the Taperoo Dunes to seek out and learn more about the local flora and fauna while you work through the Dune Detective activity sheets. Volunteers from the Taperoo Dunes Group will be on hand to point out interesting flora and fauna within the dunes and to answer any questions. You will be encouraged to discover and explore this local environment, wandering along the pathways through the dunes. This outdoor session is suitable for families with children of all ages. The Dune Detective activities are great for primary school aged children. Adults and older children will also learn so much about our local coastal environment, whilst younger children will enjoy exploring outdoors.
Bookings essential. Family (up to 2 adults and 3 children) $7.50, Single $3.00. Children must be accompanied by a guardian and be appropriately supervised at all times. Adults are welcome to attend without children, as there is so much all of us can discover and learn about our local environment. Please contact the Port Environment Centre if you have any mobility or access concerns.
