City of Mitcham Soldiers Memorial Garden Tree Trail

Soldiers Memorial Garden, Torrens Park
Throughout June
These trails are a celebration of the park trees, providing historical information and education on the many benefits of trees. Families can come and learn how trees cool our city and provide shade, habitat, and clean air to mitigate the effects of climate change. Access and print a tree trail brochure available on our website, or one can be collected from Mitcham Memorial library. The brochure will have maps of the tree trails, fun facts about trees, and puzzles to solve along the way. The tree trails will each have a code that will reveal a secret password once the trail is completed, granting participants entry into a prize draw (Prizes are native plants and saplings for winners to plant in their own backyard). Electronic and printed maps of the trail will be made available from the library, City of Mitcham website, and the Visit Mitcham application from the end of May. Tree tags and trail maps produced by Edge Environment.
Self-guided. The trails are mostly paved, however, some of the trees may be difficult to access via wheelchair.
